Amnon Damti, profoundly deaf from birth, was named one of the best deaf dancers and choreographers in the world by Gallaudet University. Amnon discovered dance as a means of expressing himself in the hearing world. He was a lead member of "Kol Demama" for 15 years, before creating Two Worlds Dance with Jill.
Jill Damti began her dance career in gymnastics and water ballet, served as an officer in the IDF and worked with at-risk youth.
Together, they have a remarkable talent to communicate and connect with all sorts of audiences and all age groups.
Jill and Amnon have published the Damti Method Book©, a unique curriculum that promotes inclusive communication and collaboration through movement and dance, by creating a positive and supportive environment.
The Damti Method Book documents Jill & Amnon's philosophy and values of inclusion and details 22 different activities in curriculum form.
Their performances and workshops convey a very powerful message - Everything is Possible.
“You are not just teaching these children how to dance,
you are teaching them how to live!” - Teacher of deaf and hearing children in California
In 2017, Two Worlds Dance became the first 'Artists in Residence' at OC Music & Dance, and brought their uniquely inspiring programs from their base in Israel to Orange County and beyond.
Since then, Jill & Amnon's vision of inclusion became a reality for dozens of deaf, hard of hearing and hearing students from Orange, San Diego and Riverside Counties who participated in their summer programs.
"Keep spreading your great message and transforming people and planting the great seed of inclusion, love, acceptance, equality, and making kids believe that they have no limits and and can become anything they dream."
- Oscar Ramirez, Father of participants in a Damti Method program
